Description

SB 51 would have required the General Services Department to use rules, issue requests for proposals and acquire, where appropriate, renewable energy sources for state facilities. This would have increased renewable energy use in the state which would have reduced pollution and saved on operating expenses.

Outcome

SB 51 died in the Senate Conservation Committee; a motion to do pass failed.
